Heritage Hill is a charming Bed & Breakfast centrally located in Waynesboro, Virginia. Located just 6 miles from where Skyline Drive connects with the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Appalachian Trail, the 4,300 sq. ft colonial style house is situated perfectly on 8 acres.
Offering expansive views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and nearby rolling pastures our private acreage is located just inside the city limits, allowing easy access to the lovely town of Waynesboro all while enjoying a rural setting in the country at the same time.

Our room was clean and comfy. Just outside the room there is a fridge for guest use as well as a cabinet that is home to a keurig, coffee, tea, small snacks, and related supplies. Downstairs is a living room with a large flat screen TV and comfy seating. There is an outdoor seating are and fire pit as well. Breakfast was served at 9:00 both mornings in the downstairs dining room where I was greeted with fresh local coffee, juice, homemade baked goods (cinnamon rolls and pumpkin coffee cake), and a fresh fruit plate. This was followed by a hot breakfast (quiche and eggs & bacon). The food was made better by the company of the other guests and the owners Dana and Scott.

Sipping coffee out of fine china cups as we savored ham and spinach souffle and sweet potato scones was the quintessential bed and breakfast experience. In her warm and friendly way, Dana was always quick to respond to questions and make recommendations.

Not to mention the incredible breakfast they served!! The house sits about 30 mins from some breweries we visited (Bold Rock & Devil's Backbone) and about 20 mins from Veritas Vineyard and Winery where we also spent some time!
The bed in the blue room is incredibly comfortable! Just note that the bed is very high off of the ground! Dana and Scott had a small step stool in the room next to the bed for this reason which I thought was a great touch.
I would definitely recommend this stay 🙂 Make sure you save some time for the awesome rope swing with beautiful views out front!
We began our search for a place in 2016 when the last of our four children went off to college, and the moment we saw this beautiful house we knew right away it was the one for us. Not only did we fall in love with the house, we truly love everything about living here in the valley!
It’s a beautiful place to call home. We’ve spent the last few years renewing and remodeling to make the house more comfortable for our guests, and we have continued plans for the future as well.
